I’m Kate, a trained graphic designer and have always wanted to translate my two-dimensional ideas into three dimensions. Clay has given me the perfect medium with which to express myself. Since 2016 I have evolved a style inspired by Japanese simplicity and appreciation of the hand made, that I enjoy using and looking at. I combine this with textures and patterns derived from what I see around me, with every pattern hand carved making each one unique. I very much love the combination of the carving with the calming neutral colour palette.
